the prado wedding new years eve

This New York couple rang in the new year in style at the Prado in Balboa Park with 190 of her family members & 10 of his! But before we get to that…the groom won over this massive group with his dreamy proposal.

bridgecloseupOn a trip to Paris, he took his future bride to Pont des Artes (a bridge crossing the Seine River). This bridge is famous for couples connecting locks to it as a sign of their never-ending love. After connecting the locks to the bridge, they toss the keys in the river. How romantic! After presenting his beloved with a custom engraved lock to the place on the bridge, he got down on one knee & asked the age-old question…what she didn’t know was that he had hired a photographer to secretly capture the whole mooshy thing!

THE PRADO WEDDING RECEPTION

Fast forward to the last day of 2014…and these two New Yorkers said I do at a nearby church then enjoyed live violin music during their chilly outdoor cocktail hour. Once it was time to step inside the amazing ballroom, guests first saw the tiered white wedding cake with a pinspot on it & and custom monogram light, also provided by yours truly. We provided live music on the grand piano up on stage during dinner as well.

PAR-TAY!

After the guest MC introduced the wedding party & newlyweds, they toasted & ate dinner. A delicious meal, the cutting of the cake, the First Dance, & a combined Mother-Son/Father-Daughter dance followed. By then, it was about 10:00, and everyone was looking forward to the big New Years countdown! We passed out New Years party paraphernalia about 20 minutes before midnight to help set the mood.
