Wedding Mother Son Dance Songs 1

When interviewing a couple before their wedding about their music preferences, the response is almost always the same when DJ Staci asks about the Mother-Son dance: “Uhhhh….I don’t know.” Then the groom inevitably says, “I guess I’ll ask my mom if she wants to dance and what song she wants.”

Guys, this woman gave you life, and–even if she wasn’t perfect–raised you to the point in which you were enough of a “catch” to win the love of your amazing fiance, right? Unless your mom has social anxiety disorder, she wants to get her well-deserved moment in the spotlight. She doesn’t get to be the mother of the bride. She doesn’t get to walk you down the aisle (although you certainly could ask her to!). And she really doesn’t deserve to be left out if the bride dances with her dad.

You woo and show appreciation to your mom the same way you would with your fiance–sweep her off her feet with a heart-felt song that you pick out yourself! AND buy her a rose, hide it up at the DJ’s table, and give it to her at the end of the dance. AND keep a tissue or handkerchief in your pocket you can give her when she gets misty afterwards.
