Sophisticated Wedding Leo Carrillo Ranch 2

Camilla & Devon might possibly be two of the best humanitarians I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Whether they were insisting I cut in front of them at the buffet or people were toasting to their youth group leadership, it was not a surprise that the adorable banner hanging from their cake table said, “Love Is Kind.” Cheers to their heart-warming wedding at Leo Carrillo Ranch!

BACK @ THE LEO CARRILLO RANCH

This wedding at Leo Carrillo Ranch was just as beautiful as the one we had the pleasure of DJing two wevieks ago. Camilla chose a literature theme & used gold/navy blue as her colors. Her guests enjoyed the arcade-style photo booth & props as well.

UNIQUE MUSIC CHOICES

Her musical selections were not only unique + reflective of who her & Devon are, but they were hot off the press! (Camilla had chosen East Forest’s “Walk the Walk” for her ceremony entrance song. Then she had the opportunity to meet him, told him how she was planning to use his song, so he gave her a new version to use called “Talk the Talk!”)

She also selected Brandon Heath’s “Love Never Fails” for the processional, Will Reagan’s “To the Very End” for the Sand Ceremony Interlude, Klingande’s “Punga” for their Grand Entrance, FMLYBND’s “Electricity” (acoustic version) for the First Dance, & James Yuill’s “This Sweet Love” for her cake cutting. She let the wedding party pick their own songs for their entrances. I was a little curious when I saw Groomsmen Garrett & Rex had picked a love ballad (“Time of My Life” from Dirty Dancing), but when I saw their full-scale re-enactment of Baby being lifted over Johnny’s head from the end of the movie, it all made sense! Probably the most creative entrance I’ve ever seen!

THE TIMELINE

Unfortunately, two things that were out of our control caused the dance time to be significantly shortened–how quickly dinner was served & how long the toasters spoke for. I suggested changing the order & a few other things to help speed things along, which salvaged 45 minutes of dance time.

SEEING DOUBLE AT THIS WEDDING AT LEO CARRILLO RANCH

My other favorite thing about this wedding at Leo Carrillo Ranch was that at times we were seeing double. Camilla has an identical twin sister–it wasn’t hard to figure out who she was when I was rounding everyone up for the toasts! And, it was very cool to introduce her:

“The next person is closer to Camilla than any of us can begin to imagine. Camilla says, ‘Thank you for being ALL that you are. I feel SO honored to call you my best friend.’ And they have been best friends since before they were born. A special welcome to Camilla’s twin sister Isabella.”

And I can’t forget the, not one but two, kisses Camilla’s Italian dad gave me after he finished his toast!
