Of all the San Diego wedding DJs in America’s finest city, Nyssa and Jason chose me to DJ and MC their Windmill Ranch wedding on Saturday, March 3, 2018.
THE WINDMILL RANCH WEDDING RECEPTION
For Nyssa & Jason’s Grand Entrance, they chose “Love Never Felt So Good” by Michael Jackson & Justin Timberlake. They had a super fly “Dirty Dancing” choreographed First Dance to Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes’ “Time of My Life.” Seriously…one of–if not, the most–fun First Dance I have *ever* seen! After Dinner & Toasts, Jason danced with his mom to Josh Grobin’s “You Raise Me Up.” Then Nyssa took the floor with her dad to “God Only Knows” by the Beach Boys.
We kicked off open dancing about that time & later Jason removed Nyssa’s garter to the “Mission Impossible” theme. He tossed the garter to “Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins. “Single Ladies” for Nyssa’s wedding bouquet toss??? Nope…Pat Benatar’s “Hit Me with Your Best Shot.”

They wanted some Top 40, 60s/70s Old School, Oldies, 70s/Classic Rock, and one or two R&B songs and slow dances. Their “must plays” were Eric Clapton – Wonderful Tonight, Sam Cook – You Send Me, Europe – Final Countdown, Bruno Mars – Uptown Funk, Abba – Dancing Queen, Electric Slide (not to Marcia Griffiths song), and YMCA.
