Los Willows Estate Wedding 1

Of all my clients who have pampered me with their generosity as a host, Nicole has to rank at the top! She invited me to spend both the night before and after her Los Willows Estate wedding at the private 8-room bed and breakfast located at Los Willows. My room had jets in the bathtub! Not only that, but she special ordered an amazing vegetarian plate for me at the steakhouse where the rehearsal dinner was held.

THE LOS WILLOWS ESTATE WEDDING CEREMONY

“Who would have thought when Adam & Nicole met at mutual friend’s wedding on August 3, 2012, that they’d once return to a wedding together…and find themselves standing at the altar? When Adam was stalking—I mean courting—Nicole, she did try her best to give him the brush off. It didn’t stick though…and thank goodness for that because this couple is unafraid to be who they are. They don’t really care what ‘the rules’ are because they make there own. Trailblazers are rare, and, Nicole & Adam, I know there are many people seated before you today who admire your style & are inspired by the rebellious nature you two embody. I’m not sure if all of you are aware of this but after Adam proposed to Nicole, they were actually pulled over by the police. Of course, they later celebrated by buying a gun, which made everything OK…but their love story does remind me of Bonnie & Clyde. Not just because of their shamelessly outlaw spirits, but because of their devotion to their family. Yes, according to Biography.com, Bonnie & Clyde were very devoted to their families. They visited home frequently, helped out with money, aided & abetted in each others jail breaks—all that good, wholesome family stuff.”    -excerpt from Nicole & Adam’s wedding ceremony

THE LOS WILLOWS ESTATE WEDDING RECEPTION

As you might have guessed, Nicole & Adam requested mostly country music. The processional was Mark Wills’ “I Do (Cherish You).” The bride entered by boat from across the lake to Shania Twain’s “From This Moment.” The Shania sandwich was complete with “You’re Still the One” for the recessional. The couple entered the reception to Big & Rich’s “Lost in the Moment.” The First Dance was very fitting–Lee Brice’s “I Don’t Dance.” And, of course, we had a little fun with the cake cutting & played Little Big Town’s “Little White Church.” My other favorite choice was Trace Adkins’ “One Hot Mama” for the Garter.

DRINKIN’ VS. DANCIN’

Nicole told me she didn’t anticipate much dancing because her group is a drinkin’ crowd…so, no worries. But, the problematic lay-out was a hurdle when it came to packing the dance floor. The bar was located about 200 feet away, outside the reception tent. The dance floor was also twice the recommended size (so it always looked empty). While we set up both the DJ booth & photo booth on the dance floor to shrink it down, it wasn’t enough. (On the bright side, Brittany, the photo booth operator, reported tons of traffic through the photo booth because of being located on the dance floor instead of in a corner or outside.)
